Individual Counselling (via telephone or Doxy.me)
Confidential, one-on-on counselling sessions focus on providing a supportive, collaborative environment where we can explore your current situation in depth. The process is highly individualized and dependent on the issue at hand, but generally involves looking at and working carefully with a range of thoughts, emotions, behaviours, past experiences, and present circumstances that are causing you distress and/or blocking you from moving forward.
My commitment is to work with you every step of the way; being fully open about why we are doing what we are doing and continually checking in with you to ensure our work together is supportive and moving you in the direction you desire.
Primary issues I work with include, but are not limited to:

Career Counselling
Careers are integral to our identities and as such career counselling is as complex as personal counselling. Whether you are making career decisions, facing a stressful work situation, struggling with burnout, wanting to advance in your field, or change careers entirely, career counselling can move you forward if it is thoughtful, individually tailored to your situation, and goal-oriented.
In one-to-one, confidential career counselling sessions, we will work together to explore your career dreams, skills, abilities, barriers, and opportunities in depth. Our sessions may involve a range of assessments, personal work, skill building, and homework, depending on your current circumstance and what would be most appropriate for you at this time.

Clinical Supervision
Both counsellors in training and professional practice can benefit from ongoing clinical supervision that is supportive while encouraging you to develop new perspectives and ways of engaging your clients. I have extensive experience supervising Masters level students in three university graduate programs (SFU, CityU, and the Adler School) and professionals seeking ongoing support or hours for certification (e.g., for registration with the Ontario College of Psychotherapists), and am an Approved Clinical Supervisor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. I encourage you to contact me if you think I might be a fit for your needs at this time.
